Valentines Day Inspiration Shoot Full Recap {+ Downloads from Cut the Cake Designs}

by jacin on February 11, 2011

As I mentioned earlier this week, I styled a Valentines Day inspiration shoot for Brenda’s Wedding Blog in collaboration with Tara Lee of Cut the Cake Etsy/November 7 Blog {Paper Design}, Miriam Corona of Glam Candies {Sweets Inspiration/Creative Collaboration} and Gladys Jem {Photographer}.  As promised, here is the full recap minus a few photos, as they will be featured in an upcoming eZine that Brenda is pulling together :)

Please note, all images are (c) our amazingly-talented photographer, Gladys Jem - if you choose to use any images elsewhere please credit them appropriately to Gladys and our shoot for Brenda :)

Our vision was a romantic seaside picnic {turned proposal!}  Here you go!

A vintage picnic basket…

A lovely backdrop…

Some Moet rose…

Homemade raspberry cupcakes with ruffled frosting made by yours truly…

I love the detail in this shot!

A gorgeous bouquet of pink and white ranunculus…

Pretty masons to hold the hot cocoa and marshmallows with doily lids tied with bakers twine, accompanied by custom labels from Cut the Cake Designs (click here to download!)

Peanut butter & jelly sandwiches wrapped in a doily with custom label and placemat from Cut the Cake Designs…

And a surprise message waiting under the china plates…

Lots of yummy details…

Gladys is a whiz with photoshop because she was able to get my tattoo right off! :)

Notice the recipe box?  I can’t quite reveal the story behind that just yet, but I can tell you it was custom made by my dad using one of my grandmother’s drawers from an antique desk!  More to come on the recipe box someday soon… :)

So lovely! What an amazing background and little sandwhiches, paper, and shots! I love that you set the cupcakes and raspberries on the plates with the candy, so cute! The first photo is so amazing with the Golden Gate, what a beautiful place to live! Love the story behind your recipe box! :) Congrats!

Gorgeous! I love it all… and I didn't notice the proposal 'place mat' (?) (there has to be a more romantic word that my brain is just not finding, here) the first time! What a cute proposal that would be!

So was this actually used as someone's proposal or was it just set up for the shoot?
