A Lovely DIY Bridal Shower {Mikkel Paige Photography}

by Camille on August 19, 2011

Today I have an amazingly lovely DIY bridal shower to share! When we saw these photos, we just knew we couldn’t keep them to ourselves. This is an image heavy post, but there were just so many amazing details that we couldn’t help but share :)

These photos were sent our way from the super talented Mikkel of Mikkel Paige Photography. Here’s what Mikkel had to say about this lovely bridal shower -

This bridal shower is INCREDIBLY unique! The maid of honor planned it from the rentals to the flowers, vases, invitations and food. The “Sew Sweet” theme was carried out in various DIY project ways from the thread spool photos holds, to tissue paper poms, doily mat place settings, cupcake box tags and more. Friends helped plan the menu and in the creation of all the dishes, and the maid of honor was the bride’s sister, photographer, crafter, cake decorator and florist!

My favorite are those button cookies, how clever! Hope you are all having a great Friday, and enjoy your weekends!

get out! Those button cookies are the best!!! Do you just poke out the holes yourself or is that a cookie cutter? Either way, I’m saving that idea! Such adorable details and clearly a labor of love - and the bride’s dress is amazing!

I love reading everyone’s comments! Thank you SO much for publishing this special event! It means so much to me on a personal and professional level. :-) As if I could love Lovely Little Details more!

And the cookies, for inquiring minds, are just pressed to be circles and you poke out 4 holes with a tiny cookie cutter. Bake, cool, then thread with ribbon!

I hope they don’t mind I say this, but if anyone has questions about any shower details don’t hesitate to contact me: mikkelpaige@gmail.com . I’m happy to share!

Have a wonderful weekend!

That shower is Sew Sweet. Do you think the ribbon in the cookies is edible? I hope it is. If not, I will soon be making some that are!!

I don’t know if I feel jealous that the maid of honor is so damn crafty, or that the bride gets her as a friend-this shower is OUTRAGEOUS! Every detail is better than the last!
