Surf’s Up: Wedding Inspiration

With summer here and the weather heating up for most of us, I am dreaming of long, sun-filled days at the beach. Little known fact: I own a Stewart Colin McPhillips Noserider, a 9′ 2″ surfboard (almost exactly like the one above), and while I’m no professional, there is nothing I enjoy more than taking this lovely out on the water. Don’t get me wrong - anyone could surf on it - it’s like standing on a coffee table! Want to join me?

I was daydreaming about my college summers in Rhode Island when I would bartend at night (hi, Charlie O’s!) and go to the beach all day, and it got me thinking of some surfing wedding inspiration. Curiosity got the best of me, so I pulled together this little inspiration board for the day.

Yes, that is a shameless plug of my own wedding cake. I loved it. A lot.

Happy Thursday!

This is beautiful. I love the colors and the first picture is AMAZINGGGGG. What a cute romantic idea. If that were me it would be hanging over my fireplace for anyone and everyone to see!

yup yup, I have always wanted to learn how to surf. I feel like I was supposed to be a surfer at one point in my life…I think i’ll be that person who picks it up when she turns 50. Love the board (both the inspiration and surf board) - that cake is pretty awesome too;)

What a fun wedding theme! It’s winter here in Cape Town, South Africa and this evening is particularly cold so your inspiration board provided a little sunshine feeling :)

I had no idea you were a surfer-how amazing! And there’s absolutely no reason why I wouldn’t drool over your wedding photos every day of the week!

I feel that we are kindred spirits! I use to daydream about my nights bartending and going to the beach all day as well…. and I actually threw in the towel, ditched my city job and am once again bartending at night and going to the beach all day (with my kids). I adore your blog!

    xxoo,

    Windsor
