Mason Jar Sunday: Custom Made Chandelier from Milk Glass Vintage Rentals

Today’s mason jar feature comes to you from the amazingly talented Milk Glass Vintage Rentals. Here’s the background story from PJ Rude, Owner/Stylist!

“Together, my friend Aylssia from Casa Real (the bride), Nicole Ha and I wanted a hanging a window chandelier for Alyssia’s wedding that was styled with rental pieces from Milk Glass. I had my hubby screw eye hooks into some of my old windows and of course broke a few windows to make it look just right (and help with the rope going through the window panes). We used a perfect nautical rope to give just the right vintage/rustic look. My hubby tied the rope around a clamp on the top and the bottom of the panes, and we placed the windows in the order we wanted on the floor. Then, with the help of professionals, Fantasy Sounds, we were able to fork lift the panes and place them in just the right location.

We were so excited that the windows were up and hanging, but still had a bit of work to do - what took the longest was to tie the wire around each and every mason jar (different sizes), and we also used bottles and random small vases (250 jars/vases/bottles total!). We made sure the jars hung at all different heights, we didn’t want any rhyme or reason. Then the Nicole Ha added her touched with all her wonderful flowers into the jars, and we added tealights to the rest. Then for the finishing touches we HAD to have market hanging lights! Fantasy Sounds was all over that. We finished it all off with a rustic library ladder which we placed behind the dessert table.”

All in all it was mismatched yet cohesive, and the bride and groom couldn’t have been happier! Don’t you just love it?
