Inspiration to Reality #3: Simple & Pretty Pumpkin Garland

{personal photo}

Happy Monday! Wow - what. a. weekend!! My feet are crying but my heart is full - Kali & Duncan’s wedding was such a labor of love and I was so honored to be a part of it! But more to come on that soon :)

After setting up the final event of the weekend yesterday, Pat and I took a drive around Carmel to explore a bit, try a few wineries, and then stumbled upon an amazing little farm with pumpkins, a corn maze, herb garden, and flowers galore. I was in heaven. And as soon as I saw the pumpkins strung along the roof in a lovely little garland, I just knew I had to share it with you all!

How amazing would this be for a fall wedding, possibly woven in between market lights? All you would need are some baby pumpkins with the long stems - simple, sweet, and a lovely (and fun) little detail!

I also saw these gorgeous white valencia pumpkins which I loved - they could bring the autumn theme through but keep the color neutral at the same time.

What do you think? Are any of you incorporating pumpkins in to your big day?

    What do I think? I think I’m in love with the pumpkin garland idea! It’d be really cute with the little mini white pumpkins (they’re actually little gourds) or you could even spray paint them a pretty metallic color! Love love love this idea. Your weekend sounded like a perfect fall weekend full of making pretty and then relaxing!

    love that pumpkin garland :) You’d have to have your own pumpkin patch for that not to cost a ton to make (at least here in LA where pumpkins seem to cost a fortune!) But I love it anyways, and the white ones are my fave (and also hard to find here!)

    Love this idea! If we had a fall wedding like we first thought we would, pumpkins would have been all over, centerpieces, at the entrance! Love those hanging pumpkins! :)

    I got married last fall & we used pumpkins and gourds as a cheap way to decorate! It looks beautiful! We sprayed some with a clear coat of spray paint and others with color!
