on our way {switzerland, italy & france here we come}

image by Cary Crusiau

though i very much doubt i can get pat to ride one of these pretty pink bikes with me through the streets of paris, that doesn’t mean i can’t try, right? we are headed off today on a whirlind trip to zurich, northern italy (as much as i can cram in) & paris and i cannot wait to explore and take it all in. pat and i haven’t had a lovely little getaway in quite some time, and what better place to enjoy each other’s company?

i’ll be posting some pictures here and there, and who knows, i might even bust out a real camera vs. my iPhone! you never know :)

if you have any recommendations on things to do, places to eat, walks to take, we’d love to hear them!

    In Paris, you must go to dinner at this ridiculously romantic and cozy restaurant. It’s very French, the food is DELICIOUS and it’s off the beaten path, so not super touristy: https://www.lecoupechou.com/

    Don’t miss sunset at the Sacre Coeur, stunning, so romantic.

    Lock your love on the Pont des Artes!

    Have so much fun - you can’t go wrong with the destinations you’ve picked :)

    While you’re in Zurich, you should take a quick trip out to the city of Luzern. It’s about a 45 min train ride, but totally worth it. It is a small town that has all the amenities of a city, nestled on a lake and below the Swiss Alps. I plan on having a vacation home there one day!!

    Lucky! It’s been 5 years since I’ve been to Paris and Italy. I can’t wait to go back! Take a stroll from The Louvre to the Arc de Triomphe. Start at the Louvre and walk through the Tuileries Garden and Champs-Élysées. It’s about a 2 mile walk. Have fun! Can’t wait to see pics!

    If you can make it to Dijon, France, that is a lovely place! Lots of history and great sites. The different architectural styles are amazing!
