{rhody already loves our neighborhood beach just as much as we do!}
Do you ever feel like things happen for a reason? Getting this guy has totally changed our lives for the better, and helped me continue to refocus on what is truly important in life. Oh, and he’s a pretty fun “first step” before kids, too (I never had any idea how much work puppies really are! Thanks Mom for doing all the hard stuff while we just enjoyed playing with our pups as kids).
Little Rhody has brought us so much joy in the past 6 days; I couldn’t even imagine our lives without him. And i’m so thankful for that, because he is a constant reminder of the meaning of unconditional love. Corny? Maybe, but it’s true, my friends.
Have you ever had something like this come in to your life and take you by storm? Well, we’re loving every minute of the mayhem, especially those quiet moments where he comes to find you and sit in your lap, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. No matter how crazy life can get, with work, school, social media drama (ha!), it’s these little things that help anchor you back to earth. Thanks Rhody :)
Have an amazing weekend, everyone!
I adopted a dog a few months ago as well {Otis} and I already can’t imagine life without him! It’s crazy how fast you fall for those little pooches. Rhody..cute name and cute little guy!
Puppy sitting for a week was enough for me! And like you said, they are almost as much work as a baby! Glad your furry little family member is bringing you so much joy!
Not corny at all! I feel the same exact way about our beagle/basset hound Bailey. Happy weekend~
Awww! My pug was a Christmas present from Matt 7 years ago. I’d never had a dog growing up so I had no clue what a puppy would be like. But I always wanted a real live teddy bear and Winston is just that! He fills my heart with so much love, I can’t imagine loving anything more than that. He always makes me smile and he comforts me! Dogs are the most amazing animals! Rhody is precious too. Love seeing your updates on Instagram! :)
I met my dog, Charlie, 4-years ago in October. When I held him for the first time, he was so tiny he could fit in my hands. We stared at eachother for about 10 seconds and then he licked my nose- It was love from then on!
I, also, didn’t realize the difficulties of raising a puppy, however that challenge helped make me a more responsible and caring person. Even though he chewed up every single pair of shoes I owned, I wouldn’t trade that experience for the world!
To this day, I can not imagine my life with out him. He fills my heart with so much joy and I love him more than anything. :)
Oh wow…that’s so awesome!! He is adorable!!
I’m so glad you guys have Rhody-you have no idea how much you’re making me itch for a pup of our own!!
Aww he is great!!! We got a pug and named her Peach and she changed things for us too!
They are great before children; they are a fraction of the work but they are SO MUCH work! Gives an incling!
Enjoy your new budday.
My pooch is my refuge and its his wagging tail, droopy eyes and arm nudges that remind me there so much more to life that work… and my office.. and my “headaches.” and in the end, we’re perfect and lovable and can make a difference {make up less} and {jammied up}! Enjoy your lil man. He’s precious! xo
ps: speaking of poochies; here’s a reality check! http://www.godvine.com/Beagles-See-Sun-and-Grass-for-the-First-Time-After-a-Life-in-a-Laboratory-861.html
This is such a sweet post and what cutie! It is interesting how we can discover new inspiration in unexpected places…love it!
Liesl :)
So sweet :) What a DOLL! And I just love that name!!
I can totally relate.. not corny at all! I can’t imagine life without my doggies. I think you might appreciate this post: http://kerimehome.blogspot.com/2011/10/love-in-black-white.html
Have a great weekend with Rhody! He’s still cute. ;)
Awww so sweet! And he is pretty adorable. I think even though our pup wasn’t with us in Cabo, you probably know how much we love our little fur baby. As I write this he’s cuddled up and sleeping right next to me since next to “mama” is typically where he does his puppy dreaming best. ;) And to think I use to hate dogs- like really. Never thought I’d include one on our wedding invitation or name our signature drink after our little guy! Geez- there really is something behind “puppy love” and those “puppy dog eyes”. Lol.
Totally - mine was my kid. I just put up our Christmas tree remembering that last year I did it with Charlie in my moby wrap all snuggled up to me and sleeping the whole time, at 3 weeks old.
I do think that a puppy is a good bootcamp for a baby, in that you have to be responsible for something else, your freedom is a bit restricted, and you love it so much and think it is adorable. The upside to the puppy is you don’t have to nurse it every two hours in the beginning :) Rhody is adorbs!!
He is so cute! I want a dog so bad, but we are still debating if we are ready yet! :) It is a lot of work, but it’s so worth it! Really nice picture..
pets have an amazing way of doing just that! it truly is a blessing!
have a fabulous weekend!
Such a sweet face! I want a dog desperately, but my current living situation doesn’t allow for it. My husband and I have a pact to have one within the next year and a half, though. Can’t wait! Thanks for letting me live vicariously through your pup for a bit :)
