Timeless & Elegant Connecticut Wedding: Nelya & Chris {Scobey Photography for Carla Ten Eyck}

by jacin on March 16, 2011

All photos are (c) Scobey Photography for Carla Ten Eyck
Today’s wedding comes to us from some of my favorite people in the whole world*.  Yes I said it.  The amazingly talented Graham and Ashley Scobey of Scobey Photography {for Carla Ten Eyck} are just the loveliest people I’ve met in a very long time and they are a true definition of kind souls.
Together, this husband & wife photography duo captured one of the loveliest weddings I’ve seen in a while as Nelya and Chris became husband and wife.  From the Scobeys: “Nelya and Chris have an extraordinary love; it’s like they are connected at the soul. You can tell in the way they look at each other… and it makes my heart smile.”
Nelya and Chris’ gorgeous wedding was all about the blending of two beautiful families, and many of their guests flew over from Russia, where Nelya’s family is from. The entire day was like a fairy-tale, and I am so excited to share it with you today.
{Oh, and P.S. although I am anti-auto music on blogs [except for Kelle Hampton's], I highly recommend you hop on over to Pandora and create a Michael Buble station for yourself as you scroll through the images.  The tunes just make the post come to life.}
Nelya was an absolute vision…

And then there’s Chris, the handsome groom…

And the guys…

And the ladies…

I love this one :)

They had such a perfect August day!

And the team at The Farmington Club did an amazing job on the details…

Such a unique {yet classic} color palette, and It’s So Ranunculus nailed it with the florals!

Such a majestic cake.  Yes, I just described a cake as majestic.

Love those floral details on the cake.

I’m such a sucker for ring shots…

What a truly amazing wedding.  Thank you for sharing your day with us and best wishes to you, Nelya & Chris!

*Am I biased because they were our photographers for our wedding?  Slightly, but we’re not the only ones who loved them - in fact, all of our guests agreed with us and even now to this day still say “I loved your photographers!”  So did we, my friends.  So did we.  Visit their blog to find even more reasons why I love them so.

Hi, Im the stylist at the http://www.GallerySalon.com that was fortunate enough to work with the bride Nelya and her brides maids. What a day it was and the photographers dedication started at sunrise and were still there to take the last picture at midnight. Thank you Nelya, One Bride I’ll never forget.
