Introducing: Save the Date {A Wedding Planning Workshop Series from LLD!}

by jacin on September 6, 2011

Hi everyone! Hope you all had an amazing Labor Day weekend! Ours was full of sun and relaxation and today I am up and at ‘em, ready to tackle the week before flying cross country for Mark & Sarah’s quintessential New England (a lobsterbake in Maine, anyone?!) wedding this upcoming weekend!

Before I head to Maine, though, I have some exciting news for you all that I have been alluding to over the past few weeks. I recently joined Blu Bungalow, an event planning studio in San Francisco, and I am so excited to now have a larger space to meet clients and do some crafting and design for upcoming events. Even more exciting, though, is that I now have a space to host my wedding planning workshops, dubbed Save the Date, that I’ve been secretly working on, and I am now ready to announce the details!

I created Save the Date, a Wedding Planning Workshop Series, because I remember as a bride just under a year ago, there were limited resources available to utilize for planning my own wedding - I found that classes (and space) to DIY with other brides and the opportunity to share in my planning excitement were hard to come by (there are only so many friends who want to hear about wedding planning 24/7). Save the Date will fill that gap by providing DIY classes, whiskey tastings in the “groom cave” (complete with flat screen TVs so the guys can watch the game while the brides do their thing), bridal networking events, wedding fitness & nutrition workshops, planning tips, blogger visits, and more. I am so excited to launch here in the Bay area, but will also be hosting events in Napa/Sonoma, Los Angeles, Boston, CT, NJ, NY, and a few other locations, so stay tuned for more info. This series will be like a bridal happy hour, with sips and sweets, and will start with one night a month after work to accomodate schedules. Our first event is slated for Wednesday, October 4 from 6:30 - 8:30pm (RSVP details to be provided shortly).

All upcoming events will be posted here, and on the LLD Facebook page. If you have a specific topic you’d like to see addressed, or a DIY you’d like to learn, contact me! Hope to meet you soon :)

Ah, totally need this. Thrilled to hear you’re coming to LA. Got engaged two weeks ago and suddenly feel totally overwhelmed about the planning I felt totally capable of two weeks ago. Any hold holding I can find is much appreciated. haa-haa.

This is the best thing that could happen to all Bay Area brides… and certainly something I WOULD HAVE LOVED to have access to just a year ago… And no one better than you to drive this Jacin… Brides-to-be: this could seriously be the best thing that happened to you whilst planning your wedding :)

How exciting for you, and Blu Bungalow…oh how I wish they had a place like that in CT. Those are going to be some very lucky Brides!
