Blogger Holiday Traditions: A Day of Fun From Several Bloggers {Koru Kate & La Vie Jaime}

by jacin on December 20, 2011

Today we are back with some more blogger holiday traditions and I will be posting several as the day goes by. I hope you’ve enjoyed this series as much as I have!

First up, the lovely Kate Sullivan Corpuz of Koru Wedding Shoppe, LLC (make sure to check out her blog, too!)!

My favorite holiday tradition is making wishes.  Rod & I have his & her Wishes ornaments from Red Envelope- the hollow ornaments say Wishes on the outside & open to reveal a bright red interior to place our wishes.

We privately write our wishes for the upcoming year on a slip of paper, mark it by the year & place it in the ornament to make our wish come true.  The next year, we share our past wishes (most have come true!) with each other before making our next wish.  I have wished for a proposal & a perfect wedding & both came true!  We have done this for the past three years & this will be our first year making wishes as husband & wife so it will be extra special.  I plan to continue this sweet tradition always & we will have our kids make wishes too.  Once we have kids which may be my wish for 2012 :-)

Next up, the lovely Jaime of La Vie Jaime is popping by :)

Every Christmas, my mom’s side of the family gets together to exchange presents, eat dinner, and celebrate my brother’s birthday (he’s a Christmas baby!).  A long-standing tradition has been to pass around party poppers for every one, from the youngest cousin to my grandparents. Once we all get one and yell “one, two, three…” we “pop!” them and inside is a paper crown and toy.  While this tradition has been going on for years, it’s exciting and fun each year, like we’ve never done it before. it’s a requirement to wear your colored crown for the rest of the day- well at least a group photo or two, and the kids typically collect all the toys to play with.  I look forward to this years poppers in just a few weeks!
