you know what, guys? i’ve had this lovely little blog for almost 3 years now, and when i started out, i didn’t capitalize my letters. that’s how i roll, i don’t like capital letters - they seem too formal to me. so being as this is the new year for fresh starts, i’m going back to my old ways, where it’s a little more comfortable, a little less formal, and reverting to lowercase. hope you’re ok with that.
secondly, holy CRAP did anyone catch the bachelor last night??? thank you ABC for making mondays cool again. because i cannot wait to see this season unfold. but on that same note, i’d also like to thank ABC for giving away who will stay and leave with the previews! i see a lot of brunettes in there…
so my blogcation has ended but i honestly don’t feel like i was “off” - from my family visiting for Christmas to a surprise new years eve wedding, it’s been non-stop madness but i wouldn’t have it any other way. i did so much thinking and reflecting over the past few weeks and came to a few realizations, but i don’t really need to make this a sappy post with all of that. but something i will share is that this past weekend’s wedding made me realize so much about life and love. bethany, the gorgeous, sweet and crafty bride said “Our truest, purest hope was to simply be husband and wife. Everything else was just a beautiful bonus.” i hope all of you brides-to-be keep this in mind when all of the madness ensues, or something doesn’t go as planned. bethany & gabe opened my eyes to a whole new view of what “lovely” really is. and i can’t thank them enough for that.
so here’s to 2012 - a revamped look is on its way, and i’m already full swing in prepping for events coming soon. but in the meantime, it sure is good to be back, lowercase letters and all. i hope you all had an amazing holiday and you’re ready to take on the new year by storm! i sure am. let’s go!
