Traditional & Glamourous Connecticut Wedding: Jennifer & Stein {Carla Ten Eyck Photography}

Today’s wedding absolutely takes my breath away; it is elegant, classic, traditional, refined, and brings the term glamourous to a whole new level.  The words “tradition” and “glamour” are rarely found in the same sentence, yet alone as a description, but this wedding is exactly that.  The blush pink roses, crystal centerpieces and shiny silver vases paired with the sleek black cocktail dresses and chunky jewelry on the bridesmaids and stunning lace gown and sparkling Jimmy Choo heels on the bride literally brought the words “tradition” and “glamour” to life.  Add a gorgeous venue, stunning (I mean stunning) bride, good lookin’ husband, a hot bridal party, and the amazingly talented Carla Ten Eyck (with Mike Romano and Rebecca Hales) to capture every single moment (and the moments in between), and you’ve got yourself an absolute swoon-worthy event.

Jennifer and Stein are one magical couple - from their fun, easygoing personalities to their shared love for soccer, they are a match made in heaven.  The Lord Thompson Manor in Thompson, CT was the backdrop for their perfect September day, and what an amazing venue it is!  Jackie and her husband Andrew, owners of the manor, designed the event - from the flowers to the table scapes, even down to the huppa.  The manor has a weekend concept, so friends and family had a true experience from the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding through brunch on Sunday morning (and they even managed sunny skies despite an impending hurricane!)

Let me introduce you to the lovely bride and groom, Jennifer and Stein {prepare yourself for a photo-heavy post!}.

All images are (c) Carla Ten Eyck Photography.

Adorned in a gown from White Dress by the Shore and with a pair magical Jimmy Choos on her feet, Jennifer was a true vision of beauty and elegance.

I am loving the corset!
Once “Going to the Chapel” comes on, the excitement really sets in!
I love this picture (and the interior design of the cottage!)
Meanwhile, back at the manor… the guys are playing a quick game of soccer!
I really like Stein’s t-shirt choice!  :)
And then they changed and kicked the ball around some more :)
While Jennifer is putting together the final touches on her gorgeous getup!
And the emotion comes on…
Remember those lovely bridesmaids I was telling you about?  Here they are!
One word: GLAM.
Jennifer and Stein did a “first look” while “At Last - Etta James” played from across the courtyard as the bride approached her groom.  I am sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
And now for some details!
We haven’t even gotten to the ceremony yet!
He sees her!
Party time!

And just one more, for good measure :)

Congratulations Jennifer and Stein!

Oh my goodness what a beautiful bride she was. I love her shoes, her dress, her hair… everything.

The music choices could not have been more perfect, I am a big believer that music creates strong emotions.

Her flower girls looked like little angels and everything about her wedding was absolutley lovely!!!

So glad you posted this! Everything about this wedding I love. It's very similar to the one I'm attempting to plan for myself this upcoming fall @ a different New England estate! Thanks for the inspiration :)
