Ultimate Super Bowl Party Appetizer: Buffalo Chicken Dip!

by jacin on February 4, 2011

I have made this for several years now and it is always the hit of the party.  I received a request to post this a few weeks back when I mentioned it on Facebook, so here you go!!

{via}

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Ingredients

  • 2 (10 ounce) cans chunk chicken, drained and rinsed thoroughly {or 2-3 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded}
  • 1-2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened {Note - the original recipe calls for 2 packages but I think it tastes just fine with 1.5.  Feel free to add more per your taste}
  • 1 cup Ranch dressing
  • 3/4 cup buffalo sauce {such as Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Sauce®, found near the condiments at the grocery store}
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

Sides

  • 1 bunch celery, cleaned and cut into 4 inch pieces
  • Tostitos “scoops” or crackers

Directions

Combine chicken, cream cheese, ranch dressing, buffalo sauce and 1 1/4 cup shredded cheese in bowl.  Spread mixture in to baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top.  Bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until hot and bubbly.  Serve with celery sticks and chips or crackers.

Enjoy, have an amazing weekend!!

Yay! thanks for posting cous! Also thanks for including the chicken breast portion option, canned chicken creeps me out a little!

Maaaaan, you had to post this the same weekend I order a dress that is slightly too small and I have 10lbs to lose by June? ; )

This looks so, so yummy. I'll definitely have to try to make it for our next party. I agree with Caitlin, meat in a can weirds me out too.

Franks is really good too. We use it when we make Buffalo chicken pizza.

I've seen this dip a zillion times and I've never had it. D's cousin sent it to me so I could make it for him & never did. Is this trainer approved??? LOL j/k ;)

I make this all the time! I definitely think that using actual chicken breasts is WAAYYY better than canned chicken though.
