Our lovely Bridal Beauty editor Jennie Fresa is back this week with a HUGE tip that I found to be very helpful! I was talking to her about how so many of the Bloggers {Unveiled} had mentioned Diorshow as their go-to makeup product, and I am the same way - don’t leave the house without it! And Jennie mentioned, “you know you can get the same exact product at the drugstore, right?” So that’s what she’s talking about today! Take it away, Jennie!
I am always on the hunt for a bargain beauty product that delivers great results. After more than 12 years working in retail cosmetics, you can say I have tried just about every potion, product and beauty tool known to womankind. Receiving gratis was one of the few perks with working ‘behind the counter’ that I really miss! For years, I was on a mission to find the perfect mascara, Dior SHOW being on the top of my list! With one swipe, I would instantly have fuller, longer and perfectly separated lashes! BIBLE!
(Yes, I’m a Kardashian fan!)…
Now that I have left the retail world and started my own business, (and not getting my free products anymore!), I’m not exactly in the market to replenish a $25 tube of mascara every three months! Since mascara is the ONE beauty product that needs to be replaced most often, you can say the hunt for a new brand was ON! I read reviews, flipped through magazines, frequented target and CVS trying every brand, until one day, I found a product that seemed like Dior SHOW, only in disguise! And only for $8.99, to boot! Have you tried LASH BLAST (in the orange tube) by Covergirl yet?
Well, if not, I suggest running out to your local drug store and stocking up right now! The volume-boosting formula and large rubber wand are the key components; I really love the eye-opening effect! And, it never clumps, even after two or three coats! I have converted so many of my friends and they all thank me; let me know what you think!

jennie

Now I have heard that the person who designed the Dior Show now designs brushes for the covergirl line! No wonder they are so similar! I love this mascara. I own ever color and variation and love them all!
Completely agree, this mascara is the best out there. I literally have about twenty tubes of used-once mascaras that I haven’t touched since I bought a lash blast.
Hi Jenna, I didn’t hear that but I will look into it! How interesting if that is true!! =) @Courtney, glad you are a fan too!!
I have always been a fan of Maybelline Great Lash — but I will definitely be giving LashBlast a try!
I will be trying this immediately! Thanks for the tip!
mascara is my favorite makeup!
Covergirl in the purple tube has beene go to mascara for years!
Oooh, I’m going to have to check this out. I’m in search of a new mascara!
Im not sure the last time I ever used Mascara…i usually just use eye liner. But since this one is only $8.99 and Drew Berrymore is in the commercial I just might give it a try. Thats so great to give this tip to ladies who love mascara, esp from going to a high end one to a drug store one!
So glad to help ladies!! @ Chelsea-you can never go wrong with great lash! It’s a basic and I always keep the waterproof formula in my bridal makeup kit ( though I don’t suggest using waterproof on a daily basis!) @ Diane, I LOVE Drew! @Jill, me too-mascara is one the one product I can’t live without!
Awesome insight! I am an all-products-Aveda kind of girl, but their mascara isn’t my favorite. I’ll have to give this a try! {A}
woohoooo… i’ll have to try it!
A quick search tells me that Covergirl isn’t available here in the UK but that Max Factor False Lash Effect is the same product. I’m all out of the Diorshow that the Boy treated me to recently, so I think a new investment is called for.
I use a different Cover Girl mascara, but will have to give this one a try!
Yes!! I love this stuff!! I have thin, blond eyelashes so I need a major mascara. I also touch my eyes a lot (bad I know) so I need something that’s practically smudge-proof too. This stuff & Rimmel max volume flash are my 2 go-to mascaras - depends on which one I have a coupon for at the time. LOL
What a terrific tip! I’m a sucker for L’Oreal Naturale mascara for its lack of volume (I know, a strange request), but I’m going to have to give this a whirl!
Hmmmm ~ I just might have to try this one!!! Thanks ;-))
xoxo
