Stepping Back {Friday Favorites and a Recap}

Whoa whoa whoa… what a week it’s been! Lots of controversy in the wedding world, I tell ya. But lots of loveliness too. I’m going to move forward and stick to the loveliness, though it did feel good to get some thoughts out there this week. Thank you all so much for your comments, they really mean the world to me to know I’m not alone in my feelings. Oh, and just to be clear: on Wednesdays I don’t wear pink (unless I want to), so I won’t be dealing with the mean girls in this wedding land either. Who’s with me?

So putting all this mason jar drama aside and in the spirit of moving on, I am happier than ever to have Friday here to visit. This weekend’s agenda: hosting a friendsgiving, visiting the farmers market for one last batch of fresh dahlias with my love, planning & preparation for 4 upcoming shoots, and a fun site visit for a super special surprise event I’m designing/planning next month. I can’t wait to tell you all about it, but for the sake of my lovely client, I’m going to keep this on the hush hush until the day arrives :)

In the meantime, here are some of my favorite finds this week:

This shoot has been stirring in my head since I laid my eyes on it. Laura seemed to capture everything I love about New England in one perfect supper at sunset.

Speaking of which, I think everyone can take some pointers from her creative DIY ideas (Thanksgiving tablescape, anyone?)

If you haven’t started reading it yet, make sure to check out Kelle’s blog. It’s my favorite and constantly reminds me of the more important things in life.

I’m not sure which part about this wedding is my favorite: the color palette, the DIY paper design by the bride, her pretty veil, or the fact that it took place in my one of my favorite places on earth, Long Beach Island.

Oh pugly pixel, how I love thee and this great confetti tutorial.

Anyone else around tonight in San Francisco? Encore Bride is having a pop-up shop at Blu Bungalow! And this girl has a free ticket to give away if anyone is interested in joining me :)

Have a GREAT weekend, everyone!

I know it’s going to be extra amazing since you’re involved:) Thanks for all your support this week and I got your back with any haters out there whenever you need it. I’m also pretty much in love with Kelle’s blog. Her little ladies are so stinking adorable - so happy to have another great blog to follow:)
