jam grams and dance parties {plus, friday favorites}

say what? you haven’t sent a Jam Gram yet? you don’t know what it is, either? my side project, Jars of Love, is back at it with some yummy, fresh homemade jam and i thought it could be fun to create little packages so you could “spread love” to your loved ones. a jam gram is a package containing a jar of homemade jam, a notecard and a little elephant jam spreader. All proceeds are directly benefiting the MassGeneral Hospital for Children Cancer Center where my hometown friend’s son, Matthew Bolduc, a fun and brave 4 and a half year-old boy who is battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, is being treated. He loves to make arts and crafts in Preschool and his favorite activities include playing on the playground and swimming at the beach. Matthew also loves the Toy story movies and Clifford books. All proceeds (minus shipping and handling) from Jam Grams will be donated to this cause and 100% of your donation will be utilized for the children at the center.

i make my jam using a reduced-sugar recipe to let the fresh fruit flavor shine through. it tastes yummy by the spoonful if you’re my husband, or on an english muffin, or as a sweet topper for ice cream. i learned to make jam with my late grandmother, Mimi, and i use her techniques to this day with a little spin of my own additions here and there. i hope you enjoy it as much as i enjoy making it!

*i’m also working with this amazing guy for a seattle winery wedding in june. to say i’m freaking out with excitement is an understatement.

*i want to do my nails like this.

*i might just buy this dress in the wrong size and have it altered. that’s how much i love it.
